Web1990 has larger soundstage for sure and images better. Theres a reason why the 1990 pros are more commonly used in studios than the sundaras. It performs as good as the sundaras definitely but for mids, the 6xx definitely wins. Female vocals will sound harsh or thin on the 1990 and sundaras. WebThe DT1990 has a 12 dB peak at 8k which is just INSANE, I like bright headphones but that's far too much. You can EQ it down but the already smallish soundstage collapses and the perceived detail takes a nosedive. I have never tried the 1990, but you can add me to the 990 hate train.

It supposed to get better with time, but still. The earpads are comfortable though.
